Larger programs wont have that, because the more a program has to do, the heavier the impact it has on your system, and the less it actually does. Hurricanes are portrayed, thermals, you name it ( except tornado's which i'm waiting for ). However, it does so with amazing depth and control-ability. Active sky may have "Cloud Art" as a separate purchase, but stand alone, it only injects the weather. The problem is, is that in order to have a simple drop in plugin that does everything, that plugin is going to have to be massively complex, and you can be very certain its going to have its weaknesses, whereas smaller plugins like AS which specialize on a single thing, are far more immersive due too their broader range of capabilities within the specific discipline they are working with. "The more complicated the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the pipes.

Also, Q8Pilot did a nice review of the SkyMaxx Pro package-view here.

I would suggest looking at what Xenviro may look like in the upcoming upgrade by checking out. Take much of that reporting with a grain of salt. Will be very curious what the upgrade to Xenviro will look like-When you look up the 'best' weather add-on for Xplane you will read all kinds of negative reports especially with Xenviro and lots of praise for ActiveSky (I believe because of its track record with the other flight sim software). I am very pleased with what the clouds look like in the SkyMaxx Pro package. However the package is the most costly (around $105 or so and their clouds do not go to the horizon when flying at high altitudes-FL200 and above-at elevations for general aviation the clouds look good for going to the horizon. My present favorite is the SkyMaxx Pro package-creates the best clouds out there and places them in the proper place. This means no clouds to the horizon and the use of Xplane clouds-which in my view are only so-so. ActiveSky injects better real world weather (which includes better winds and cloud placement) into the Xplane default weather, but does not change the default Xplane clouds (they say they hope to inject their own clouds in late 2019).

Plus the clouds look a bit cartoonish (the beta 1.10 views look much better, but won't be available for another 2 to 3 months or longer?). Xenviro has clouds go all the way to the horizon (no other weather add-on does that for Xplane), but Xenviro has problems creating overcast skies and will not allow you to create your own weather. Presently, I feel the SkyMaxx Pro is the best real looking weather package available for XPlane 11.25. As a temporary workaround, you can use the mouse cursor to do those functions.I have Xenviro 1.09, ActiveSky, and the SkyMaxx Pro package (the package includes FSGRW with weather connect). The developer is aware of the problem and has duplicated it. You can click the face plate and the autopilot pops up outside the VR environment, then you can raise your HMD and operate the autopilot with your mouse.” If you select the autopilot, the unit’s face plate turns green, but the buttons are untouchable. “I’m unable to operate buttons on the autopilot and audio panel with the VR controllers. Be aware that I see some reports that the VR updates to the 1.3 version of the PC-12 didn’t fix some issues: Nice to see the GTN750 changes/updates, and also they are addressing some of the VR issues in both models.

  • Increased battery capacity and generators.
  • Disabled hydraulic brakes option (to ensure brakes work properly when engines are off).
  • While we are at it, the B1900D X-Plane 11 version has been updated to version 1.2 with the following changes:
  • Sounds: Decreased interior engine volume.
  • Fixed overhead amps indication spillover.
  • Moved sun visor default position so it doesn’t block the overhead buttons.
  • EHSI: Added wind vector arrow and speed.
  • Fixed autopilot servos coming on when engaging an AP mode.
  • Improved crosswind taxi, takeoff, and landing ability.
  • If u dont want to drop fps buy ASXP + UWXP. U will get lower fps with x enviro but it looks slot better and it haves more realistic winds and snow.
  • Multiple flight model adjustments for XP11.30 ago I think u can go for 圎nviro because ur GPU will handle it good.
  • Fixed rapid clicking noise when HSI CDI is in GPS mode.
  • More sound improvements: Fire Test, wind sound, doors sounds, etc.
  • With this new update, I’ll probably pick it up in the next.

I haven’t flown the PC-12 in a long time because I had the old XP10 version that didn’t really work right in XP11. So it looks like Carenado has updated their X-Plane 11 version of the Pilatus PC-12 to fix some issues associated with XP 11.30.
